About the archive
Sixty years of souvenirs, read page by page.
Punjab Engineering College printed a souvenir for every graduating batch. One book per year, with a page for every student: a photograph, a home address, a date of birth, and a few lines written about them by the people who had spent four years in their company. Affectionate, unguarded, occasionally merciless.
Two marks, sixty years apart
The crest on the covers, and the college today
Every book in this archive was printed under one of these two marks. The college answers to the other one now.

On the covers
The crest
A plumb bob and a hammer over a lamp and an open book. It is on the cover of the earliest volumes here and on every one that followed them.

In use today
The wordmark
Explore, innovate, excel — under a foundation date that is older than anything printed here. The archive covers sixty of the college's hundred-odd years, not all of them.

What is in it
Alongside the student pages are each year's editorial, the message from the principal, the group photographs, and the boards of editors and commentators who put the book together.
Those books sat in cupboards for sixty years. This is all of them that could be found — searchable by name, hometown, batch or branch.

Who can read it
The archive is not open to the web. It carries the names, dates of birth and home addresses of thousands of people, so it sits behind a sign-in and is kept out of search engines. Registration is by mobile number and a one-time code.
